XBTR's first LAN event of the year went off without a hitch at the Webster Public Library this past Saturday.
Many of our current members, as well as several new faces, turned out for some great gaming action. There were also several walk in's from the community who were interested in what we were up to, some who just asked for our website and e-mail address, and others who stood behind and watched some XBTR members in tournament play.
Snacks were served as well as lunch around 1:00pm, and it would appear that all had more than enough to eat.
Our first LAN event of the year had a couple of new surprises. A 50/50 raffle, won by John Guerrero "Witefeather", helped XBTR build up its financial warchest for future gaming events. We also had two winners in our first ever HALO 2 tournament competition with "GhostriderTGAC " and "Headhuntinhonky" picking up $20 each for their top notch game play. First runners up were "SithRootz" and "Goddfrey", both with excellent game play.
Planning is already in place for our next LAN Event, and we are always looking for ideas on how to improve our sessions. These events are put together so everyone can have a great time, and your input tells us how we're doing.
