Yes, even your XBOX has its own BLOG!

Ok, so maybe alot of you knew about this already (as I was schooled earlier today) but for those of you who don't know about it, check out 360VOICE.com, a slick easy to use site where you can read your XBOX360's thoughts about you as its owner, and about how you play (and dont play often enough). I didn't know machines were so sensitive.

Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote

When the
original Xbox launched, the system boasted the ability to play DVDs. Unlike the PlayStation 2, which could play DVDs with the system's controller, the Xbox required a kit, which consisted of an infrared sensor and a small, simple DVD remote. When Microsoft released the Xbox 360 four years later, DVD playback functionality remained, but the need for a dedicated remote was removed. That said, playing DVDs on the Xbox 360 with a controller is far from simple, and several Xbox-oriented remotes have already made their way to market, one of which is Microsoft's own $30 Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote.

Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 HD-DVD player

While the
Sony PlayStation 3 may have an integrated Blu-ray player, Microsoft is doing its best to blunt that possible competitive advantage with a next-generation DVD player of its own for the Xbox 360. Dubbed simply Xbox 360 HD DVD player, the fairly basic external drive connects to the Xbox 360 via a USB cable. Like the 360 itself, you can either stand the drive upright or lay it down horizontally. Whichever way you go, the whole outboard concept is a little kludgey, but the drive's $200 price tag is quite reasonable considering today's stand-alone HD DVD players start at $500. Better yet, Microsoft is also throwing in an Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote and, for a limited time, a copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong HD DVD.

Wii Beats PlayStation 3 in Sales, but Xbox 360 Beats Them Both

LOS ANGELES — Nintendo Co. Ltd. sold 604,200 of its new Wii video game consoles in the United States in December, beating Sony Corp. (SNE), which sold 490,700 units of its new PlayStation 3, according to retail market research firm NPD.
Microsoft Corp. (
MSFT) sold 1.1 million Xbox 360 video game consoles to consumers in December. Microsoft's console debuted in November 2005, a full year ahead of the Wii and PS3, which were in short supply during the holidays, when the U.S. video game industry rings up about half of its annual sales.
