A new report says that the instruction manual for Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 finally confirms effects pedals are imminent; RedOctane is still playing coy with Next-Gen on the effects issue, but says downloadable content will be here "soon."
Developer Harmonix and Activision-owned publisher RedOctane have always touted Guitar Hero as the ultimate rockstar experience outside of actually playing in a real rock band, but the game has been missing one key component to the rock guitarist experience: effects pedals.Now Joystiq, which obtained a copy of the Xbox 360 version of the game prior to its release later this week, posts an image of the new version's instruction manual. A diagram for the new X-plorer guitar peripheral points out an "Effects Pedal port (pedals sold separately)".
